Aryan Khan[1][2][3] is an Indian actor[4] and the eldest son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan[5][6][7][8][9] and renowned producer Gauri Khan.[10] Born on November 13, 1997[citation needed], in New Delhi, India, he grew up in the glitz and glamour of the film industry. Aryan has two siblings, sister Suhana Khan and brother AbRam Khan.[11]
Early life and Career[edit]
Aryan made his debut in the film industry as a child artist, portraying the young version of his father's character in the iconic film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001),[12][13][14][15] directed by Karan Johar. He later showcased his vocal talent by lending his voice to the character Simba[16][17] in the Hindi version of Disney's live-action fantasy film The Lion King (2019).[18][19] Additionally, Aryan also worked on projects like The Incredibles (2004) and Flour Baby (2019).
2021 Controversy[edit]
However, it was on October 3, 2021, that Aryan Khan found himself in the midst of a major controversy. He was arrested[20][21] along with seven others by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)[22][23][24][25] during a raid on an alleged rave party on a cruise bound for Mumbai to Goa. The authorities suspected the presence of drugs at the party. Despite no contraband being found on him, Aryan Khan was detained for questioning. The NCB later secured his custody till October 7, 2021, as part of their ongoing investigation into an alleged international drugs racket.[26][27][28]
