Asgaard (PMC)
Asgaard German Security Group GmbH is a German Privat Military Contractor, based in Telgte near Münster. Asgaard is one of the oldest German Mercenary companies; CEO are Petja Stoy and Dirk Gaßmann. Because Mercenary is prohibited by German law, two employees of Asgaard were judged at Landgericht Münster and get acquitted for lack of proving in 2017.

The company name Asgaard is based on the Myth of the home of the god Asgard as part of the Heidnish-Germanic mythology. The exact number of employees of the comnapny is not known. The company had 100 employees in 2010, according to the weekly newspaper "Freitag".[1] The company was founded by Thomas Kaltengärtner, former main field weaver of a Bundeswehr tank grenadier-bataillone.
The chairman of the Bundeswehr's reservoist association Gerd Höfer, aksed Kaltengärtner in a letter in 2014 to resign from the association.
