Asha Empire Online is a 2024 indie-developed MMORPG set in the distant future, precisely 1000 years ahead, within the confines of the Asha Galaxy.[1][2] This science fiction-themed game is set in a universe far removed from the Milky Way, accessible through a now-closed wormhole. The game uses blockchain technology for its in-game economy.
Gameplay[edit]
The gameplay of Asha Empire Online combines elements from FPS (First-Person Shooter) and TPS (Third-Person Shooter) perspectives with survival and role-playing game mechanics. Players are invited to create and customize their avatars using NFTs, which not only offer unique aesthetic choices but also grant various abilities. The game encourages exploration, combat, resource gathering, crafting, trading, and social interactions across its myriad planets and systems.
Skill progression is fundamental, requiring players to attend academies to enhance their abilities. Experience points unlock new regions, cities, and planets, enriching the explorative aspect of the game. The economy is another standout feature, with the Asha Empire Credit (AEC) facilitating trade and investment within the game's ecosystem.
Plot[edit]
The Asha Galaxy, located 75 light-years from the Milky Way, became humanity's new frontier after the discovery and subsequent closure of a wormhole. This galaxy, home to the Vita Nova system and the pivotal planet Saiantum, sets the scene for the game's drama.
Central to the game's plot is Queen Naina, a figure of elegance, strength, and complexity. Inheriting the throne from Emperor Walter Friessner, she embodies the leadership challenges and political intricacies of governing an empire in a galaxy cut off from Earth.
