Ashi Singh[1] is an Indian television actress (born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh) known for her portrayal of Naina Agarwal[2][3] in SET India's critically acclaimed television series Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. She has won the prestigious Kalakar Award[4][5][6] for her debut in this show.

Career[edit]

Ashi started her acting career in Secret Diaries - The Hidden Chapters on Channel V[7][8] in 2015. She went on to act in a small role in Gumrah Season 5.[9] In Crime Patrol[10] (Tamasha Mandli) she played the role of the victim's daughter. Ashi starred in the come back music video (Zindagi Tujhse Kya Karen Shikvey) of Ayesha Takia playing the role of her sister who is kidnapped and rescued at the end . She also played a role in Qaidi Band as Jailer's Daughter.[11]She has also acted Savdhaan India in 2016 playing the roles of Raji and Soni respectively.

In 2017, she was selected to play the lead role[12] in SET India's critically acclaimed show Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. Since her debut, she has gone on to become a constant fixture in the list of popular TV actresses and news articles.[13][14][15][16]

Ashi ranked 18th in 50 Sexiest Asian Women List 2018, published by the UK weekly Eastern Eye.[17][18] She was placed 10th in Biz Asia's TV Personality 2018 List, the Indian television polls in UK hosted by Raj Baddhan of Sabras Radio.[19]

She also featured in the list of TV actresses who made an impact in 2018, published by IWMBuzz online publication.[20] On International Women's Day 2019 she was featured in an article by Eastern Eye titled "Balance For Better " along with other accomplished women , giving her views in support of Women Empowerment .[21]

Personal Life[edit]

Ashi lives with her family in Mumbai. Ashi completed her higher education from Malini Kishor Sanghvi College of Commerce & Economics in Mumbai and is currently working for her BMM from Valia College of Arts, Commerce and Science.[22]

She is a supporter of women empowerment and hopes that divisions across the lines of gender are completely erased in the future.[23]
