The Kalakar Awards is an award for excellence in Indian Hindi and Bengali language cinema, television, and entertainment. The awards ceremony is held in Kolkata.

The awards were founded by Ashok Kalanauria, and the first awards ceremony took place in January 1993 at the GD Birla Sabhaghar hall in Kolkata.[1]
