Ashish Singh (also known as Nritya Manjari Das) is a Kathak dancer from Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is known for his expertise on Lucknow Gharanas of Kathak.
Early Life and Education
Ashish Singh was born in Varanasi. He began his Kathak training under Mrs. Sangita Sinha from 2002 to 2007. He further pursued his education in Kathak by completing Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti and earning a B.Mus. and M.P.A. in Kathak Dance from Banaras Hindu University under the guidance of Dr. Vidhi Nagar and Prof. Ranjana Srivastava.[citation needed]
Career
Ashish Singh gave his first performance at the age of 11 at the 'Siti Mahotsav' organised by Siti Channel Pvt. Ltd. Since then, he has performed extensively across India.[citation needed]
Ashish has also directed and choreographed numerous performances, working with renowned artists and institutions. He has trained many students and conducted workshops across India.[citation needed]
