Ashlee Hincks (born 04 December 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Wimbledon in the FA Women's National League.[1][2]

Career

Hincks began her senior career at Charlton Athletic, where she debuted for the first team at age 17, winning a League Cup and competing in an FA Cup final.[3] Subsequent club spells included Watford and Chelsea—where she played in the first-ever FA Women’s Super League (WSL) match—Followed by time playing professionally in Iceland.[4] While at Millwall Lionesses she captaining a 19-game unbeaten run in the Championship. [5] She has also represented England at all youth international levels. Joining AFC Wimbledon in 2021.[6]

She surpassed 100 goals in just three seasons with AFC Wimbledon and has regularly finished as top scorer—recording 14 goals in all competitions for the 2024/25 campaign.[7] Hincks also reached 100 competitive appearances for Wimbledon while amassing over 54 assists in which her set-piece ability further distinguishes her playing career. Hincks has over 28 Player of the Match honours with Wimbledon, including being given the Club Elite Award.[8]

Hincks’s journey has not been without adversity: she suffered a serious knee injury (ACL, MCL, and meniscus) at Crystal Palace in 2019 but made a swift comeback in early 2021 after extensive rehabilitation.[9] Despite juggling a full-time non-football career, she has remained a consistent and central presence at AFC Wimbledon and recently helped lead the club to promotion into the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division for 2024/25.[10][11]
