Assemble Entertainment GmbH, based in Wiesbaden, is a German publisher of video games as well as organizer of the GermanDevDays (GDD) conference. The company also includes a German Video game developer Gentlymad Studios UG.
History
Assemble Entertainment is a German video game publisher. It was founded in 2016 by Stefan Marcinek in Wiesbaden, Germany.[1]
Assemble Entertainment announced the release of Pizza Connection 3 in May 2017, which was released on March 22, 2018.[2] The company was awarded the German Developer Award for its marketing campaign for the release.[3] In October 2017, Assemble founded the subsidiary Gentlymad Studios UG, based in Wiesbaden. The developers of GentlyMad UG, who previously developed the game InBetween, were fully integrated into the new company in the process.[4]
In December 2017, Assemble Entertainment released a collection of Leisure Suit Larry titles on Steam, which included all titles from Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards to Leisure Suit Larry 7 - Love for Sail. Furthermore, the spin-off Leisure Suit Larry - Magna Cum Laude Uncut and Uncensored was also included in this.[5] Subsequent re-released installments of the Leisure Suit Larry series have also been published by Assemble Entertainment, starting with Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry in 2018 and continuing with Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice in 2020.
With Endzone - A World Apart, a survival building strategy game, Assemble Entertainment together with its own developer studio Gentlymad Studios released the company's most successful title to date in March 2021. As a result, over 350,000 units have already been sold since the Early Access launch in April 2020. Since October 21, 2021, the first expansion Endzone - A World Apart: Prosperity has also been available.[6]
