Assembloids is a conversion of the Flash puzzle game Quartet of 2010. It was first released for the Commodore 64[1] and later for many systems like the Atari 2600[2][3] and Lynx.[4] Assembloids is a challenging and addictive puzzle game that has become a cult classic in the world of retro gaming.[5]

Gameplay[edit]

The player's goal in Assembloids is to assemble a variety of faces using tiles dropped into the central window and move them to the adjacent tiles in the appropriate direction by pressing the controller before time runs out. There are four different faces, each consisting of four tiles, and more points are awarded for creating faces with matching tiles. In addition, the game speeds up as the game progresses. There are 10 points for a completely shuffled face, 40 points for a partially shuffled face and 100 points for having only one tile out of place. For a complete face you get a whopping 300 points. If that wasn't enough, you get another 500 points plus an extra life if you manage to clear the entire board.
