Assent of faith

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Assent of faith or full assent of faith is belief in Catholic dogma, shown by obedience of faith.[1] The exemplar of obedience of faith is the Virgin Mary,[2] who assented to the Word of God at the Annunciation:[3] "Let it be done to me according to your word."[4] Assent of faith does not rest "on a mass of probabilities"[5] but on God,[6] and the Church demands assent of faith to its judgments,[7] which it says is its right and duty.[8]
