Astral Limited (formerly known as Astral Poly Technik Limited) is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.[1] The company was established by Sandeep Engineer and went operational in 1998 by manufacturing the Plastic piping systems for industrial and residential applications and later on added piping system for agriculture, infrastructure, cable protection, etc. It is listed in Fortune India 500 Company since 2016.[2]
Astral Limited has diversified into Adhesives, Water Tanks, and recently in 2021 ventured into Faucets and sanitary wares Categories too.[3]

1998-1999[edit]
- 1998- Astral went operational.[4]
- 1999- Started Manufacturing Industrial CPVC Pipes at Santej, Gujarat.[5]
2001-2004[edit]
- 2001 – Started manufacturing CPVC Pipes for residential applications.[6]
2004-2013[edit]
- 2004 – Launched a lead-free UPVC piping system for the first time in India.[7]
- 2007 - First Indian company to obtain National Sanitisation Foundation (NSF) approval for CPVC Pipes in India.[8]
- 2007- Floated IPO, Astral went public in 2007 and started consolidating the piping business.[9]
- 2012 – Foremost company to launch lead-free uPVC column pipes in India.[10]
2013 Onwards[edit]
- 2014- Acquired UK-based adhesive and sealant products firm Seal It Services Limited & India-based ResinovaChemie Limited.[11]
- 2016- Got listing in Fortune 500 India Company.[12]
- 2016- Launched CPVC Pro, Astral’s very own piping brand for hot & cold water plumbing.[13]
- 2018- Acquired Seal It Services Ltd. USA-Plant & Rex PolyextrusionPvt. Ltd.[14]
- 2020- Acquired Sarita- Aurangabad based Water Tank manufacturing company.[15]
- 2021- Launched Astral Water Tank with copper shield.[16]
- 2021- Forayed into categories of Faucets and Sanitary ware.[17][18]

Astral Adhesives[edit]
Astral Adhesives, the Adhesives manufacturing arm of Astral Limited was established in 2014-2015, which produces a diversified range of adhesives, sealants, putties, construction aids, self-adhesive tapes & industrial maintenance products like epoxy, silicones, acrylics, cyanoacrylates, UV cure, PVC, etc.[19] Astral Adhesives is equipped with production facilities located in Santej- Gujarat, Rania and Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, Manchester in the UK, and North Carolina, USA.[20][21]
Astral Water Tanks[edit]
Astral ventured into the Plastic Water Tank category in 2020,[22] offering a wide range of water tanks under[23] the brand names Astral as well as Sarita.[24][25]
Infrastructure Division[edit]
Astral manufacturers a wide range of infrastructure-related products including corrugated piping for drainage and cables, polyolefin cable channels, plastic sheathing ducts, suction hoses, and sub-surface drainage systems.[26][27][28]
Sponsorship[edit]
Astral partnered with the movie Dabangg 2 where the Hindi film industry’s popular actor Salman Khan[29] used Astral Pipes in the film and later in the year 2014, he became Astral’s brand ambassador for 4 years. [30]
Astral also got associated with several IPL teams.[31][32]
In 2020, Astral roped in Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as its brand ambassador.[33][34]
Astral Foundation[edit]
Astral Foundation[35] is the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of Astral Group, which works towards the betterment of society at large and environment conservation. The foundation works in the areas of Education, Empowerment, Health, Wildlife Conservation, Disaster Response, and sustainable conservation.[36]
