AtlasCT
AtlasCT (lit. Atlas Cartographic Technologies) is a worldwide provider of GIS and mapping applications for the Internet and wireless platforms. It was founded in 1987, as a maps and guides producer. In 1998 it went into the field of digital mapping by developing the AtlasNET map server. AtlasCT has been expanding its activity since 2001, from location-based services over the Web to Navigation services for the Mobile market. The company provides remote as well as stand-alone maps and GIS services.
The company is also the owner and developer of ABmaps.com, a mapping portal of world maps. The portal is specially targeted for the North American and Western Europe GIS market. The portal provides a variety of free geospatial services and Business Services available for online payment. AtlasCT differentiates from other players in the GIS arena by utilizing technologies such as Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and Macromedia Flash for displaying online interactive maps.
