Srimad Paramahansa Atmadhar Swami was a 19th-century Indian Hindu monk and spiritual guru from Bengal. He was a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, from whom he received the title of "Paramahansa", and was a close spiritual associate of Lokenath Brahmachari.[1][2]
Biography
Swami Atmadhar was born in the Bhatpara region during the 19th century. He embraced the monastic lifestyle after initiating into the spiritual traditions of Vedantic philosophy and Bhakti devotion.[3] He established an ashram in Gidhni, West Bengal, where he guided seekers toward self-realization. A marble sculpture dedicated to his memory was preserved and relocated to Dhaka Elokeshi High School in Bangladesh.[4]
