Atul Kaushal is an Indian author who was born in the year 1990 and brought up in the minor city of Karnal in the Indian state of Haryana. He is a young biotechnologist who got his Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. He did the first two years of his degree from Career Institute of Technology, CITM (now Manav Rachna International University, MRIU) located at Faridabad, Haryana, and the next two years from University Institute of Engineering & Technology, UIET located inside the MDU campus at Rohtak.

As of now, Atul Kaushal is pursuing his M.Tech, Animal Biotechnology from NDRI, Karnal.

Career[edit]

He, unfortunately, met with a serious accident that fractured his B.Tech degree in midway. It pushed him behind by a year in the course. But the accident also inspired this story and Atul also took clues about the story from his studies. He has since mended his life and has got a message for his fellow youngsters of India: Don't waste your time or otherwise time will waste you.

His work in the field of biodiesel awareness is noteworthy. Atul is a student proponent of biofuel use and represents the biofuel-aware generation.[1]

He completed a B. Tech (Biotechnology) degree in 2014 from UIET, Rohtak and is a proud Biotechnology graduate.

Afterward, he joined a Master of Technology course in Animal Biotechnology from National Dairy Research Institute[2] in his hometown of Karnal, India.

7th of May, 2010[edit]

He met that very serious mishap on the 7th of May, 2010. He had a coma subduing him for over 23 days and was pulled back career-wise with over 2 years in the lagging. He was referred to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi after the doctors at the Panipat hospital referred him to a bigger, more elite hospital for better efforts to be put unto saving his life.

Reborn as a poet & writer[edit]

As 7 May was near Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary, Atul jokes that some of his great traits may have miraculously transferred to him. Atul writes some serious poetry at the online poetry portal Hello Poetry[3] after starting off at Blogspot.[4] His first novel 7 Seconds: A Typical Teenager, Atypical Life is available as an eBook at Amazon's Kindle store[5] as well as Google Books.[6]

"Angel?" Series[edit]

On the evening of November 28, 2012 Atul wrote a poem titled "Angel?[7]" which was received well by the online poetic community on Hellopoetry.com[8] and has been read, reposted and shared multiple times.

Flita Fernandes[9] comments: This was so beautifully written! It was such a pleasure to read, so full of emotion that pours down the page in this beautifully composed piece.<3 *turns to mush*

IvyB Xx[10] comments: Even while reading the poem I instantly took notice to the beautiful writing and amazing structure of the literature. Fantastic work.

GitacharYa VedaLa[11] comments: I think it's a daily poem. One of my favorites here.

Pamela Rae[12] comments: I cannot believe I missed this beautiful write! The imagery is amazing and pulls you in as if walking right into your dream and then makes me long for her return as much as you do...your gift, your talent is truly beautiful. Wow!

Jennifer Humphrey[13] comments: Beautifully written. Love the imagery. The words flow like silk.

Mary R Short[14] comments: That is beautiful! I think if you imagine something then believe it, it is real, no matter how unbelievable. You do a very good job of telling your story and I love poems based on dreams. I write poetry about dreams all the time and I think maybe dreams and poetry come from the same place in our minds

In the "Angel?" series[15] of 7 poems, a tired sailor comes across an angel-like mermaid in his dreams in the beginning and towards the end he helps the angel vanquish a curse from herself. Also to be read is the original 'Angel?' poem by Atul Kaushal on his blogger blog AKS's songs/poems lyrics.[16]

Citations by friends & admirers[edit]

Few citations of his poetry and novel have been made on websites like Wattpad[17], by ace author interviewer Fiona McVie on her Wordpress blog Authorsinterviews[18] and some others by sharing his poetry in Facebook-like sources.
