Augustine Tessier, also known as "Sister Julia" (January 2, 1869 - March 8, 1981) was a nun and the oldest living person between the death of Fannie Thomas on January 22, 1981 and her own death on March 8, 1981. She was succeeded as oldest living person by Nellie Spencer upon her death. She was the oldest French person ever recorded until being surpassed in age by Eugénie Roux. She was at the time of her death the oldest nun ever recorded.[1]
