The Austrian Journal of Statistics (ISSN 1026-597X) is a free and open-access journal without any charges or fees, and the copyright is regulated by the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).

It has a long history dating back to the 60s, and it is published quarterly by the Austrian Statistical Society.[1] Its general objective is to promote and extend the use of statistical methods in all kinds of theoretical and applied disciplines. Special emphasis is put on methods and results in official statistics.

The journal is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals[2] and by the Australian Mathematical Society.[3]
