AutoComplete is a technology company based in San Francisco, California. The company provides an AI-driven platform aimed at simplifying the vehicle insurance process within automotive dealerships by offering insurance options during the car purchase.[2][3]

History[edit]

AutoComplete, Inc. was co-founded in 2021 by Ahmed Khaishgi, Jeffrey Pang, and Jon Zhang. Khaishgi co-founded SquareTrade,[4] an insurtech that raised $238 million from Bain Capital and was acquired by Allstate for approximately $1.4 billion in 2017.[5][6] Pang previously founded Breeze, a company that provided auto leasing services to Uber and Lyft drivers.[7] Breeze was renamed Canvas and subsequently acquired by Ford Motor Company in 2016,[8] and later sold to FAIR, Inc.[9] Zhang founded Glassmap in 2011, while a graduate student at Stanford, and it was an early Y Combinator company.[10] Groupon acquired Glassmap in 2013 to build out its local shopping efforts.[11]

In August 2024, AutoComplete raised a funding round led by The Presidio Group, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, FM Capital, AutoNation, and Ken Garff Automotive Group. The funds will be used to develop the platform and expand the company's reach.[12]

Products and services[edit]

AutoComplete's AI-based platform automates the insurance process for car buyers at dealerships, reducing the process to a few minutes and providing tailored, competitive quotes instantly. This integration addresses the issue of insurance readiness at the time of purchase and provides dealerships with an additional revenue stream.[2][3]

AutoComplete's technology integrates insurance into the car purchase process. The company aligns with broader industry trends to improve efficiency through AI and digital tools.[1]
