Auxano Capital

Auxano Capital is an Indian venture capital firm headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, which invests in early stage revenue generating businesses.[1]

The venture was founded by Brijesh Damodaran and Ashish Padiyar in 2016. Since its inception in 2016, the VC firm has invested in over 25 companies. [2]

Investment thesis[edit]

The firm’s investment thesis revolves around investing into next generation, technology led, consumer focused businesses that are driven by the subscription economy / secular income. The firm invests using its two-pronged investment strategy: [3]

Stage of the Business (seed, pre-series, and series A/B). [4]

Investments[edit]

Auxano made its first investment in 2016, that was in Milkbasket, from which it made a full exit in 2021. [5] Its other investments include Aereo (previously Aarav Unmanned Systems), Wiom, Glynk, The Office Pass, Coffee Bond, Avishkaar, Market Wolf, PrimeOS, PetSutra and Stockal made through its Special Purpose Vehicles.[6]

Auxano has made further investments through its $25M SEBI registered AIF Category I (Angel) Fund, Auxano Entrepreneur Trust (AET).[7] [8] There are 11 other investments apart from Aereo under this fund, which include Clevergene (HealthTech- Genomics), EduGorilla (EdTech) Intents Mobi (Geospecial Intelligence), Private Circle (Business Intelligence), Edukemy (EdTech), MEDdelivery (Logistics and Supply Chain), Unlu (Content Creator's Economy), Expertrons (EdTech), Vayam (Workflow Automation) (previously Superpro.ai), F5 Refreshments (Micro Delivery), Faarms (Agri-Tech), and Trezi (Deep-Tech).

Auxano also launched its Auxano Dawn Fund in 2022, which is registered under SEBI's AIF Category II, [9] with a corpus of $25M [10] [11] and has invested in Moonshine (2022) [12] and Mprofit (2023). [13]
