Avaza Software is a web and mobile application, designed as a software suite for running project-focused and client-focused businesses. It was founded in 2014 by Tim Kremer and Behram Khan, and includes functionality for Project Management, Time Tracking, Expense Reporting, Quoting & Invoicing. By 2017, more than 15,000 businesses use Avaza across 150 countries.[1]

Avaza is deployed in different environments including modern web browsers and mobile devices. Avaza is the first professional services software suite to offer all functionality on mobile devices. It is optimized for tablet and mobile devices and can be used on both Android and iOS environments.[1]

2014–2015[edit]

Avaza was first released in early 2014 as beta product with support for managing projects and tasks. Additional modules for Time Tracking, Expense Reporting and Invoicing were added by September 2014.[2]

2016[edit]

Avaza added support for automatic Recurring Invoices and Integration with 500+ software products.[3][4]

2017[edit]

By March 2017, over 15,000 businesses had started using Avaza across 150 countries and the invoice template functionality was upgraded to give users enhanced ability to customize invoices created in Avaza.[5][6]

In April 2017, support was added for viewing Gantt Charts for visualizing project tasks.

In July 2017, support was added for Project Resource Scheduling.

Founders[edit]

Both Tim Kremer and Behram Khan previously worked for consulting companies. They have developed Avaza mainly as a professional services automation system for small and medium-sized businesses.

Kremer was previously consulting director of a Sydney based software company SSW[7] and CEO of Spyk Software.[8] He spent the last ten years consulting companies in the IT industry in Australia, and has lead the design & implementation of major software systems for Australia’s largest Engineering & Media conglomerates.

As for Behram Khan, he previously worked for Seven Media Group, Australia’s largest media group, which specialized in the implementation of ERP and Financial Systems for corporates. He managed different teams of 40 plus developers in the largest media management system development in the region.

Behram Khan has extensive qualifications and experience in different disciplines including computer science, finance, and accounting. He has previously worked with Oracle Financials as a consultant.
