Aviva Klompas[edit]

Aviva Klompas is an accomplished communicator and educator, recognized for her contributions across various fields.

In 2021, she co-founded Boundless Israel with Dr. Rachel Fish, a think-action tank focused on reimagining Israel education and combating antisemitism in North America.

From 2013 to 2015, Aviva served as the Director of Speechwriting at Israel's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City. She played a key role in shaping Israel's policies as the chief speechwriter for Ambassador Ron Prosor. Notably, she wrote a speech about the U.N.’s anti-Israel agenda, delivered by Ambassador Prosor to the UN General Assembly in 2014. This speech was later read into the Congressional record and featured in the New York Times.

Aviva's 2019 memoir, "Speaking for Israel," provides a candid look into Israeli diplomacy. Her articles have appeared in publications like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and CNN.

She also served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Ontario Government from 2009 to 2013, aiding initiatives to resettle Syrian refugees in Canada.

Aviva has been recognized with awards such as the Global Jewish’s 100 Moving Jewish Culture Forward in 2020, the Government of Ontario’s Amethyst Award in 2017, and NYU’s Jo Ivey Boufford Award for Innovation in 2009.

An alumna of New York University, she holds a Masters in Public and Non-Profit Management and Policy and an honors degree from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science.
