Bård Wiggen (born 9 December 1961) is a Norwegian football manager and former assistant manager of 1. FC Köln under Ståle Solbakken.[1]
Wiggen had a playing career including Rosenborg where he won the league and cup in 1988, Mjøndalen IF Fotball, Strømsgodset Toppfotball and SBK Drafn.[2] He started his managerial career at the latter club.[3] After that, Wiggen became manager of Mjøndalen IF Fotball, Aalesunds FK, and player liaison, assistant manager, and manager of IK Start.[4] He also worked as assistant manager of Norway's U-19 team.[5] After many years at IK Start, Wiggen moved to F.C. Copenhagen in 2008 to assist Ståle Solbakken.[6] He moved with Ståle Solbakken after he took the manager's job at 1. FC Köln in 2011. After finishing at Köln in 2012, on 10 July Wiggen signed a contract with Lillestrøm SK. After half a season at sesong i Lillestrøm, for the 2013 season he returned to Trondheim and Rosenborg, to assist Per Joar Hansen for the next two years. In the first year, Rosenborg finished second in the league and lost the cup final to Molde. In July 2014, Wiggen acted as caretaker manager after Per Joar Hansen was sacked for his second-place finish in the league. Wiggen moved in 2015 to become Tor Ole Skullerud's assistant at Molde. Both were sacked in August 2015.
