BJ Smith (chef)
Robert Jacob Smith, also known as BJ Smith, is an American professional chef.
Career[edit]
Smith spent most of his time at the Coney Island restaurant in South Bend, Indiana, and took his first role as a junior prep cook. He later worked at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, and at Le Bernardin, Gotham Bar & Grill in New York City, Citrus in Los Angeles, and Paley’s Place.
He is the owner and the executive chef of Smokehouse Tavern and Kim Jong Smokehouse, both of which are located in Portland, Oregon. He has opened a new location for the Smokehouse, known as Smokehouse Provisions, in Vancouver.[1]
Smith participated as a contestant on Top Chef: Charleston Season 14.
