Balaji, commonly known as "Thadi Balaji" (Bearded Balaji), is an Indian film actor, comedian, and anchor active in the Tamil film industry. He is recognized for his distinct appearance, featuring a beard and frail physique.
Career[edit]
Balaji began his acting career with the Tamil film Nandhini (1997), directed by Manobala. In 1999, he transitioned to television with the serial Mayavi Marichan on Sun TV, where he played the lead role. The serial's success led to numerous film offers, allowing Balaji to return to cinema, often portraying supporting roles and comedic characters.
In addition to acting, Balaji has worked as an anchor and television show judge, notably in Kalakka Povathu Yaaru on Vijay TV. He also participated in the second season of Bigg Boss Tamil, where he was evicted on day 97.[1]
