Balthvs, stylized all caps, is an Colombian psychedelic funk band formed in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2019. The band released their debut album, MACROCOSM, through their own independent label, Cubensis Records on September 5, 2020. BALTHVS has performed at music festivals such as South by Southwest,[3] and Rock al Parque.[4]
As of December 2023 the band has accumulated over 4.8 million streams worldwide.[2] It has released over 28 singles, 2 albums and 5 remixes.

Formation (2019)[edit]
BALTHVS was formed in December 2019 by Balthazar Aguirre and Johanna Mercuriana, after the demise of the former's previous band, Aguirre Cósmico. In June 2020, former Aguirre Cósmico drummer, Santiago Lizcano, was added to the line up.
MACROCOSM (2020–2021)[edit]
In September 5th the band released their first album MACROCOSM through their independent label, Cubensis Records. The record was pressed in vinyl through the British music label Selected Works.
Cause & Effect (2022)[edit]
In March 4th, 2022 the band released their second album Cause & Effect,[5] and started a promotional tour in the US, playing festivals such as South by Southwest,[3] and in cities such as Austin, Texas and Houston, Texas.
In October the band embarked on a fall tour in the American Mid-South (region), playing at the Moonshiner's Ball Festival[6] in Livingston, Kentucky and playing in Indianapolis, Memphis, Tennesee, Knoxville, Asheville, Charleston, Columbia, South Carolina, Athens, Georgia and Atlanta[7]
In November 27th, 2022 the band played Rock al Parque music festival. The biggest music festival in Colombia.
Third Vibration (2023)[edit]
In 2023, the band released Third Vibration.[8]
