Fujian Baofeng Electronics Co., Ltd (simplified Chinese: 宝锋; traditional Chinese: 寶鋒; pinyin: Bǎo fēng), marketed as Baofeng, is a Chinese Radio company which develops walkie-talkie radios and entry-level ham radio equipment and its accessories.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

In 2001, Wang Jinding founded the company as Fujian Nan'an Baofeng Electronics Co., Ltd. in Nan'an County (Chinese: 南安; pinyin: Nán'ān), located in Fujian Province (Chinese: 福建; pinyin: Fújiàn). In 2002, Baofeng launched its first self-developed professional walkie-talkie. By 2007, Baofeng had a standardized assembly line and a surface-mount technology (SMT) production line.

In 2017, the company was renamed Fujian Baofeng Electronics Co., Ltd.[4]
