Barry Saul is an Irish Fine Gael politician who is a County Councillor on Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council representing the Stillorgan local electoral area. In June 2015 he was elected Cathaoirleach (Chairperson) of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.[1][2]
Electoral History
In 2003, Saul then a member of the Progressive Democrats was co-opted as a member of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to replace Fiona O'Malley in the Stillorgan local electoral area. He was not elected at the 2004 local government elections. In 2009, he was elected in Stillorgan as a Fine Gael candidate topping the poll with 2,602 first preference votes. He served as Leas Cathaoirleach (Deputy Chairperson) of the local authority from June 2013 to May 2014. He was re-elected to the local authority in 2014 with 2,155 first preference votes.[3]
