Search Basket Pulse on Amazon.Basket Pulse - a free online MMOG game in which the user takes on the role of the manager of a basketball team. The game takes place using a web browser on a computer or any mobile device. There are about 1100 active users in the game.[1].
History[edit]
The game launched in 2008 under the name Basketball Zone[2]. At that time games like Hattrick or Footbal Manager on PC were very popular. Since then sports management games lost their popularity, mostly in favor of mobile games. Right now game goes under the name Basket Pulse[3] and brings together not only basketball lovers, but also fans of sports manager games. The creators of the game are Ramunė and Darius Mikužaitis, whose are still activaley developing and improving game[4]
Gameplay[edit]
Duties of every user include managing tactics, taking care of the team's finances or planning the development of young players[5]. User's team competes against other teams in two types of competitions: the national league, where only teams from certain country competes and the international league, where all managers from the game competes against eachother[6]. The international league consists of eight levels of competition, ranging from the 1st league, to the lowest 8th division and the competition is divided into two phases: regular season and play-offs. In the game there are also National Teams competitions divided into different age categories.[7].
Community[edit]
The community plays a very important role in the game, it gives opportunity to every user to become it's part. One of the most important activities of the volunteers, chosen from among the players, is the Fair Play Committee, which controls possible unfair behavior of users, which is independently assessed. Players communicate with each other using the Discord platform[8]
