Basuki Dasgupta is a contemporary Indian artist specializing in mixed media art. He was born in Bishnupur, Bankura, a town known for its 18th century terracotta temples, in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Education
Basuki studied under the guidance of the renowned artist Jogen Chowdhury and K. G. Subramanyan at the Visva-Bharati University located in Shantiniketan, West Bengal and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in painting and a Master’s degree in mural making.[1][2]
Personal Life
Basuki Dasgupta resides and works in the city of Tumkur in Karnataka, India.[3]
