Basuki Dasgupta is a contemporary Indian artist specializing in mixed media art. He was born in Bishnupur, Bankura, a town known for its 18th century terracotta temples, in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Education[edit]
Basuki studied under the guidance of the renowned artist Jogen Chowdhury and K. G. Subramanyan at the Visva-Bharati University located in Shantiniketan, West Bengal and graduated with a bachelors degree in painting and a masters degree in mural making.[1][2]

Basuki Dasgupta resides and works in the city of Tumkur in Karnataka, India.[3]
