Vikash Kalra (born 27 July 1973) is a self-taught Indian painter and sculptor.[1] He mainly works in the expressionist style of painting.[2]
Early life and education
Vikash Kalra was born in a Hindu, Kalra family in Kailash Colony, New Delhi. He received his education in a government school of Delhi. He is a self-taught artist.[1]
Career
In 2005, he started working as a painter and sculptor after being influenced by the work of F. N. Souza and Pablo Picasso.[3][4] In 2013, he presented his works in group shows for women’s empowerment with several other artists.[5] He devoted his works to Pablo Picasso and F. N. Souza.[6] He held an online show with Asif Kamal Foundation in 2020 to raise funds for flood affected areas of Bihar.[7] In 2020, he worked with NGO Habitat For Humanity for the housing and food of daily wagers.[8]
