Bat City Surfers
Bat City Surfers is a horror-themed surf rock band from Austin, Texas. The band formed in 2011 and is typically composed of four members clad in black and wearing sunglasses.[1] In more recent years the band has adopted the use of fake blood smeared across their bodies. They released their debut album Fear of A Bat Planet on October 31, 2015. The band's name is an homage to the city of Austin's nickname "Bat City".[2]
In interviews the band has tended to describe themselves as evolutionary descendants of bats.[3]
