Battlefield RedSec[lower-alpha 3] is a 2025 free-to-play online-only first-person shooter video game developed by Battlefield Studios[lower-alpha 1] and published by Electronic Arts. The game was made available for free to everyone, without the requirement of owning Battlefield 6. It is first standalone, free-to-play entry in the Battlefield franchise since Battlefield Play4Free in 2015. It was released on October 28, 2025, following the release of Season 1.
