Beau Ties Ltd. of Vermont

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Beau ties Ltd. of Vermont was founded in 1993, by William E. Kenerson, in Middlebury, Vermont.[1] A long-time bow tie fan, Kenerson determined it was time for someone to start making and selling bow ties that were made in America and came in a variety of designs.[2] Kenerson started his business out of the bedroom in his home. He recruited his wife and a couple friends who were knowledgeable in the industry. He started with one catalog with only a handful of bow ties and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Since it's humble beginnings, Beau Ties has expanded into its own building and started to offer other men's apparel such as cummerbunds, ties, and lapel pins. [2]

History[edit]

Beau Ties continued to grow throughout the 2000s. By September 2012, however, Kenerson, who was facing significant health challenges decided it was time for him to sell the company. He passed away later that year at the age of 81.[3] Beau Ties was sold off to David Kramer and David Mutter.[2] They held the company for several years.

In 2019 Beau Ties was sold to Greg Shugar, an entrepreneur with vast experience in men's fashion.[4]
