BeautyStat is an online platform for consumers to find posts and reviews related to beauty content and commerce, and guidance on the prices and newest products. Users can create a personal profile, bookmark pages, and favorite products and articles. The website enables beauty brands and agencies to develop and implement marketing and market research solutions for an online community.[1][2][3][4]
History
BeautyStat had more than 20 million consumers in 2013.[5] BeautyStat partnered with L’Oreal Paris for a makeup collection giveaway to readers who would post a comment/photo and share makeup tips in Beautystat’s Community Forum and/or Photo of the Day section.[6]
Ron Robinson founded BeautyStat in 2009 after working as a cosmetic chemist and product development executive for Estee Lauder Companies, L’Oreal, Avon, and Revlon.[7][8][9] Ron is currently a resident beauty expert for Cosmopolitan, Allure Magazine, and Refinery 29.[10][11][12][13] He is also Managing Director of Influence Nation, a global digital media agency.[14] Ron was a judge at the ICMAD 12 CITY Awards Winners for 2017 during CosmoProf North America.[15]
In 2013, BeautyStat was accepted into the 2nd TechLaunch Accelerator Program to commercialize its innovative technology within the state of New Jersey.[16][17]
In 2016, Ron announced a partnership between BeautyStat and Influence Nation, a division of the global digital media firm DFO Global Performance Commerce, to increase its global reach.[18]
