Behind the Screams: The Dream Masters Revealed[edit]
Behind the Screams: The Dream Masters Revealed is a book that chronicles the making of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master written by Mick Strawn and author Blake Best.[1]
Publication[edit]
Mick Strawn, the production designer for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, approached author Blake Best to co-write this book in December 2017. The formal announcement of the book was made on December 14, 2017, and production began on January 1, 2018. The book was released in August 2018 to coincide with the film's thirtieth anniversary.[2]
The book collects previously untold stories from the makeup effects crews, production team, and cast, including Rachel Talalay, Robert Shaye, and Robert Englund.[3]
William Forsche provided previously unpublished photos and revealed a list of contributors to the book.[4]
The book was officially released at Creepycon Halloween and Horror Convention in Knoxville, TN, on August 24, 2018.[5]
