Kashmirnama: Itihas Aur Samkal is an Indian Hindi history book by Indian author Ashok Kumar Pandey,[1][2] It is Ashok Kumar Pandey's first book and was released on 10 January 2018 by Rajpal & sons. The book has also been published in Hindi and Punjabi[3][4][5]
Desctiption[edit]
Kashmirnama : Itihas aur Samkal presents the history of Kashmir from its mythological advent to our times. Spread in 18 chapters and more than 450 pages, the book documents[6] socio-political history of the valley based on innumerable primary and secondary sources. It starts from the[7] mythical story narrated in Nilamata Purana, surveys the early Buddhist period, Hindu Kings, Islamisation, Mughal period, Afghan period, Sikh period, Dogra period and then the modern history of Kashmir. In the[8] process, the book discuss their impact on the social-cultural fabric of the valley[9][10]
