Behrooz Saffarian Zadeh(Persian: بهروز صفاریان‎) (born 13 February 1978.[1]) is an Iranian Musician, Singer, Record Producer and Songwriter. He lives in Tehran.

Early life

Behrooz was born in Rey, Iran. He is the fourth and last child of the family. He has two brothers and a sister.

Career

Behrooz, after graduating from the Conservatory of Music, started collaborating with Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Iran's official broadcaster (Persian: صدا و سیما‎) by making a song named "Vaghfe Parandeha" (Persian: وقف پرنده ها‎) for singer Ghassem Afshar [2] .

Behrooz and Shadmehr Aghili (Persian: شادمهر عقیلی‎) know each other, but at Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting they agreed to cooperate, and the result of this collaboration was the Traveler album (Persian: مسافر‎)(Mosafer).[citation needed] Behrooz also composed and arranged another song (Delkhoshi) for Shadmehr in his Dahaty (Persian: دهاتی‎) album. Also, they made another album named Eastern Tunes (Naghmeh Haye Sharghi) - Instrumental Music[3]. In this album, Behrooz did the rearranging in his style and made it a modern version, and Shadmehr played violin and guitar.

After that, he worked on his brother Behnam Saffarian’s first album, under the name of "Do Rangi", taking on art management and promoting it with great sales. From 2010, he was the leader in Mohammad Isfahani's band and then began his career as the art director of Noon O Dalghak.

He worked as a Music Arranger in the production of the first allowed album of Persian Rap, "The Notes (Eskenas)", with Shahkar Bineshpajooh [4].

Among his other well-known works, Fereydoun Asraei's "Stranger" album, in which he participated as arranger and composer, was also featured.

"Shabah (The Ghost)"[5] with his music and his brother’s voice is the result of the collaboration between the Saffarian brothers. The album "Bi Khabi (Insomnia)" from Saeid Shahrouz[6] and album 14 by Ali Lohrasbi [7] are among other top-selling albums that Behrouz Saffarian has worked on. He has also collaborated with other singers like Khashayar Etemadi, Mehrzad Esfahanpour, Mohammad Khakpour, and others during these years. "I have to return to you" is from his latest projects and the result of re-engaging with Khashayar Etemadi.

The collaboration of Mohammad Esfahani and Saffarian in 2003 and on the album produced a significant contribution to pop music. The positive results of this album and its style caused changes in the life of Behrooz Safarian, making him more popular among musicians. Esfahani and Saffarian were last seen one and a half years after the album was released, and their joint collaboration continued. The widespread success of this album led Saffarian to entertain new ideas, which resulted in the end of his cooperation with Esfahani.

His collaboration with Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting has led to the creation of many works, including: "Mesle Mah(like the moon)" in his own voice, "Faseleh ha(the distance)" with the voice of Ali Lohrasbi, "Obour Shishehei" by Ali Lohrasbi, "Pileh Haye Parvaz" with the voice of Ali Lohrasbi, "Del Navazan" with the voice of Ali Lohrasbi, "Taghdir" with the voice of Ehsan Khajeh Amiri, "Tekieh Bar Bad(relying on the wind)" with the voice of Mohammad Isfahani, "Shahre Baran(the city of rain)" with the voice of Mohammad Alizadeh, "Key Gharare Nejatam Bedi(when will I be saved)" by the voice of Saeid Shahrouz. Saffarian, in 2009, also turned to the soundtrack of the movie "Tehran Tehran" from Dariush Mehrjui and Mehdi Karampour.[8][9]
