Early life and education

Career
Dunkerley is a member of the London-based electronic pop project Comanavago. The group has been featured in a number of independent music publications, which have covered its releases and aesthetic direction.[1][2][3][4]
The tracks "Playboy" from their debut album Heart Failure (2020) and "Buzz" off the 2024 album Club Morpheus have been featured on BBC Music Introducing.[5][6]
Production and songwriting
As a producer and songwriter, Dunkerley has worked with a range of international artists across pop and electronic music.
He is credited, as part of Comanavago, on the arrangement of Samo mi se spava by Luke Black, Serbia's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.[7] The song qualified for the Grand Final. Dunkerley continued his close collaboration with Luke Black, producing his albums Chainsaws In Paradise (2024) and PARASITE (2026).[8][9] On the latter, he is also credited as featured artist and composer for the track "KILL KILL KILL". He appeared on the BBC World Service podcast In the Studio: Luke Black which chronicled the writing and recording of PARASITE.[10] Furthermore, he performs as electric guitarist for Luke Black's live shows. [11]
In 2026, he co-released the single Magic with girl_irl and Danny Brown, which was featured by Stereogum and Our Culture Mag.[12][13]

Early work
Dunkerley began releasing music under the alias Shirk (later Shurk). He composed the soundtrack for the indie video game Critical Annihilation (originally titled Critical Mass).[17] The track "Haunted" later gained online recognition after YouTube creator Markiplier frequently used it as outro music for his videos.[18]
