Benjamin Aribisala (born 15 August 1972) is a Nigerian academic. He is a professor of Computer Science [1] [2] [3] [4] and the 4th Vice-Chancellor of Oduduwa University..[5]

Biography[edit]

He was born in Ikoyi, Ikole local government area, Ikole-Ekiti on 15 August ,1972. He attended Holy Apostolic High School in Ikole Ekiti for secondary education. For University education, he attended Ekiti State University, EKSU [6] where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. He obtained a master's degree in Computer Science from Federal University of Technology, Akure [7]. He obtained a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, UK [8] [9] in 2006. He also attended Newcastle College, UK.

He joined academics in 1995 and rose through the ranks to become a full Professor of Computer Science in 2013. He is the first substantive Professor of Computer Science in Lagos State University. His research and teaching career cover 3 Universities in Nigeria. He served as the Head of Department, Dean of Faculty of Science, Director of ICT before his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of Oduduwa University[10][11][12][13][14]

Awards and recognitions[edit]

He is a Fulbright Scholar in the University of Chicago[15].

He won the Young Investigators award, by the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics, Los Angeles, USA in 2015[16][17]

He won the IBM faculty award in 2014[18][19] and the British Council Researchers Link award in 2014[20] [21] [22]
