Beyhan Sultan was a daughter of Sultan Ibrahim and Turhan Sultan.
Early life[edit]
Beyhan was born in 1645. She was firstly married at the age of one to Küçük Hasan Pasha, who died a year later. After the death of her first husband, her father married the Grand Vizier Hezarpare Ahmed Pasha, as a two-year-old girl. It is believed that Ahmed Pasha's wife liked the sultan, whom the sultan took to his harem. In exchange for her, he awarded him the title of son-in-law of the dynasty. Under pressure from the sultan, Ahmed Pasha divorced his wife and on September 16, 1647, he married Beyhan to the Sultan. to Ahmed Pasha's palace, decorated with jewels. It was rumored that the procession was accompanied by mocking looks from the people.Her second marriage did not last either, because Ahmed Pasha was executed on August 7, 1648.
Third marriage[edit]
In 1659 she married Uzun Ibrahim Pasha.[1] With Ibrahim Pasha, she had a son, Hasan, who died a few months after his birth. During the siege of Vienna in 1683, the Ottomans suffered a heavy defeat, for which the sultan Mehmed IV executed Ibrahim Pasha in 1683.
Fourth marriage[edit]
She was married fourthly in 1689 to Bıyıklı Mustafa Pasha. With him she had a son Sultanzade Hüseyn Bey(1590-1754).[2] She never remarried after her husband died in 1699.[3]
Death[edit]
She died on March 5, 1701, during Ramadan. She was buried the next day in the mausoleum of Suleiman the Magnificent in Istanbul.
