Selçuk Sultan was a daughter of Bayezid II.
Biography[edit]
She was born in 1469. She was also referred as Selçukşah. She was firstly married to Ferhat Bey, brother of the Trebinje prince Radivoje, with whom she had Gazi Husrev Bey(1484?-1541), and Neslişah Hanimsultan (1486–1564), who married Halil Pasha (d. 1540) in 1510. Ferhat Pasha was killed in battle in 1485. A year later she married Mehmed Bey, son of Gedik Ahmed Pasha,[1] with whom she had three daughters: Hanzade Hanimsultan, who married Sultanzade Fülan Bey, son of Ilaldi Sultan; Fülane Hanimsultan, who married son of Halil Pasha in 1510; Aslihan Hanimsultan, who firstly married Yunus Pasha in 1505. After Yunus Pasha was executed in 1517, she married Defterdar Mehmed Çelebi in 1518.
Death[edit]
She died in 1508. When she died, she was buried in the Selçuk Sultan Mausoleum in Istanbul.
