Career
Big Dope P released his first songs in 2007 via his own imprint Moveltraxx, created with his friends in Paris[2].
After his first solo releases in 2009 & 2010 ("Back To Da Old Future", "Southside Anthem", "Let Me Flush Dat"...), he quickly became an in-demand remixer, working for the biggest names from across the board of dance music & hip hop such as Basement Jaxx[3], Tiga, Pusha T[4], Bring Me The Horizon[5], Anna Lunoe, Ryan Hemsworth[6], Todd Terry, B.o.B, Lil Wayne, Duck Sauce[7] & more.[8]
In 2013, he released the "Diggity Two EP" featuring Kaytranada, Maya Jane Coles[9] and began touring in Europe[10]
In 2014, after remixing each other, he started working with Feadz. The duo released several tracks in compilations like "Get Wild" & "BankRoll".[11]
In 2015, he left Paris for London and released a new EP called "Hit Da Blokk" featuring remixes from Rustie, DJ Earl & Ikonika.[12]
In 2016, he released a single on Skrillex’s label (OWSLA) : "Prompto" featuring jersey club producer R3LL[13]. He also released "Off Da Bottle" on British label Local Action[14] and "Downa Ride" on his own imprint.[15] The video was inspired by the southern districts of Paris where he grew up.[16] Annie Nightingale invited him to play on her show on BBC Radio 1.[17]
In 2017, he released a new single "Freak" featuring Feadz and a remix from Uniiqu3[18]. He contributed to the Street Bangers Factory compilations with "Maxed Out" and "Presidential Pimpin" & started the Moveltraxx parties in London.[19] During summer, he made his first Asia tour with gigs in Japan, South Korea & China.[20] Several magazines like Mixmag or DUMMY included his label Moveltraxx as one of the best of 2017[21].
