Big Shine Energy
Big Shine Energy (a division of Big Shine Worldwide)[1] is an American energy-efficiency consulting firm headquartered in New York. Its focus is the use of LED lighting.
Big Shine Energy has partnered with incentive programs nationwide such as BGE, Central Hudson[2], Con Edison, Dominion Energy, Duke Energy[3], Efficiency Maine, Georgia Power, National Grid, New Jersey Clean Energy Program[4], NYSEG, Omaha Public Power District[5], PPL Electric Utilities, PSE&G[6], Tennessee Valley Authority[7], Xcel Energy.
Social responsibility[edit]
In 2017, Big Shine was one of the sponsors of the YMCA of Metro North's "Where in the World" event, with 100% of the proceeds going towards children and families in need of access to child care, healthy activities, aquatic lessons, and educational programming.[8]
Awards[edit]
- In 2018, Big Shine Energy received an award from Orange & Rockland for the biggest lighting project. In 2017, Big Shine Energy retrofitted a 522,000 sq. ft. facility in Middletown, NY, and worked with Orange & Rockland's incentive program for the client to receive a rebate of $89,500[9][10].
- Through its Green Certificate program, Big Shine Energy awards clients that switch over to energy-efficient lighting.
