Biju Shishu Surakshya Yojana initiated by Odisha government will provide additional resources and complimentary modalities to the existing centrally sponsored integrated child protection scheme to support orphan & HIV [2]infected children residing in different child care and orphanage and giving financial assistance for primary and higher education,rehabilitation and opening accounts under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana,state government will deposite Rs 1000/- in Sukanya Samriddhi Account of girl children till they attain the age of 18 years. The government would provide Rs 7000/- to Rs 40,000 for technical education.Annually beneficiaries will receive amount of 40,000 for their education. Rs 20,000 reward after passing higher secondary[3]One time token assistance of Rs 50,000 for girls and 40,000 for boys will be credited to their bank accounts on completion of 18 and 21 years respectively to facilitate marriage ceremony.[4]
