BillRun Technologies Ltd. was founded in 2012 and it aims at offering an affordable billing solution for businesses dealing with big data, by using open-source technologies.[1] It provides businesses with a platform on which they can create their own online billing plan to charge their users.[2]
The Tel Aviv-based firm developed an algorithm which allows it to handle billions of event records monthly.[3] Amongst BillRun's customers are several Telecommunication companies in Israel and Europe, among them Pelephone,[4] [5] Golan Telecom and Monaco Telecom where it installed an advanced billing and CRM system in 2016.[6]
BillRun is built on MongoDB, a free and open-source document-oriented database.[7] The company is headquartered in the Electra Tower, in Tel Aviv's business district.[8] According to Mapped in Israel "BillRun™ includes a sophisticated rating engine that incorporates data from various sources, such as calls, text messages, data usage and M2M/IoT into the billing process, enabling easy customization and personalization according to specific business needs, and seamless integration with any CRM system."
