Binumi is a cloud-based video creation and editing platform founded in 2014 by British documentary filmmaker Anthony Copping. History and development
Anthony Copping conceived Binumi to enable young people to create documentary-style videos.[1] The platform launched in 2014 with an initial focus on education, offering a secure, moderated environment for students and teachers.
By 2016, Binumi was reportedly used by students as young as five in over ten countries, including Japan and Australia.[1] It partnered with the Professor Garfield Foundation to encourage video-storytelling among children using the Garfield character.
