Bizay was founded in Portugal in 2013, as a marketplace for small-to-medium-sized businesses to create customized and promotional products [1] [2] Bizay quickly expanded its market share across various markets in Europe and America.

Bizay aims to fulfill the needs of small and medium businesses for customised and promotional products, such as business cards, flyers, stickers, merchandising, packaging and consumables, business essentials, decorations, uniforms, etc. In order to ensure the satisfaction of its customers, Bizay has implemented a review system through [3]Trustpilot, allowing users to rate and provide feedback on their experiences with the company.

Fund raised of €32 million in Series C financing. The investment round was co-led by Indico and the European Investment Bank, with the collective support from Iberis Capital.[5]

European Commissioner for the Economy Paolo Gentiloni said: “Thanks to the Investment Plan for Europe, Portuguese software company Bizay will be able to further digitalise its supply chain. Even better, it will create over 120 highly skilled jobs in the process. This project is a great example of how Europe is working to boost competitiveness and employment through innovative digital technologies.”[6]

Bizay made headlines in 2022 for being one of the first companies in Portugal to test a new work model of 4 work days a week[7] . This innovative approach to work-life balance aimed to increase productivity and employee satisfaction, and received widespread media attention both in Portugal and abroad. The results of the trial were positive, with employees reporting higher levels of motivation and satisfaction, and the company seeing an improvement in overall productivity.
