Blonde of Saint-Tropez

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Blonde of Saint-Tropez is a “special” blonde beer, lightly re-fermented in bottle, found in Saint-Tropez and nearby since May 2014.

History[edit]

Blonde of Saint-Tropez was first brewed by Brasserie des Légendes in 2013 and the beer was first commercialised in May 2014.

The project first started when the City of Saint-Tropez signed an agreement with the project founder, Raphael Hoet, in 2012, for the commercial utilisation of its name.[1] The project of Raphael Hoet, born in Louvain, Belgium, was to bring together the “savoir-faire of Belgian beer” with the “savoir-vivre of Saint-Tropez”.

The beer’s recipe was elaborated by Sonia Collin, expert in beer and professor at the oldest brewery institute in the world, Université Catholique de Louvain, based in Belgium. Brasserie des Légendes is a microbrewery based in Irchonwelz (Belgium).

Ingredients[edit]

Blonde of Saint-Tropez is a blend of three noble hops, providing a distinctive blonde beer with aromas of orange, lime and grapefruit. With a light fermentation in the bottle, it contains no additives or chemicals. Ingredients are as follows: water, barley malt, hops, yeast, sugar.[2][3]

Its ABV reaches 5,6%. It is sold in both 33cl bottles and 1.5 litre magnums.
