Blood, Sweat and Wars is an upcoming Irish film written, produced and directed by Stephen Patrick Kenny and based on true events that occurred in and around Galway city and County from 1987 to 2009.[1]
Premise
The film is about the Longs and the Burkes, two families who are Galway's biggest drug suppliers and involved in a deadly feud stemming from attempting to run organized crime in Galway. The film portrays the underground crime scene, bare-knuckle fighting, and young boys being sold as escorts slaves.

Soundtrack
Written and performed by Stephen Burns, the song "Blood Sweat and Wars" also features the talents of Val Brodrick on tin whistle and uilleann pipes and Steve Gormley on Bodhrán & Backing Vocals. Produced by Andy Bridger and Stephen Burns.
Background and theme
The song speaks from the perspective of a world-weary travelling man and portrays a somewhat uncompromising and stark vista, whilst being intended as a social commentary and highlighting some of the issues faced by this section of society, it also poses questions of social inclusion, acceptance and equality.
Investors
Some 300 local businesses, independent investors, and students have come on board to support the production. However the film still needs €85,000 to be completed.[2]
