Spears is an upcoming Irish mystery / thriller film written and directed by Gerard Lough and starring Nigel Brennan, Michae Parle and Yalda Shahidi. The film’s title is taken from the Emily Bronte quote; “Treachery and violence are spears pointed by both ends; they would those who resort to them worse than their enemies.”
Story[edit]
A Private Investigator is sent to Florence, Italy to find a woman who mysteriously vanished but soon finds himself tangled in a web of obsession and revenge.
Production[edit]
The film is Lough's second feature as director and his first foray into the neo-noir genre. The story is set in four different countries with filming already underway in Florence, Italy and Donegal, Ireland. [1] The filmmakers aim to highlight the best of new Irish electronic band with music from artists such as Sleep Thieves.
