Blue Sky Analytics is a climate technology company analyzing geospatial data using AI and cloud computing.[1][2]
History[edit]
Blue Sky Analytics was founded in 2018 by Abhilasha Purwar and Kshitij Purwar, with the aim of using raw satellite data, cloud computing, and AI to provide insights on fundamental environment & climate parameters. The company combines multiple satellite data sources to provide data solutions for various environmental indicators including GHG and carbon emissions, flood, drought, wildfire and heat risk among others. The company is building what they call “A Bloomberg for Green Data”.[3][4]
Blue Sky Analytics has raised a seed round of $1.2 Million in 2020 led by BeeNext, Zerodha-backed Rainmatter Capital Private Limited and Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs.[5]
Partnerships[edit]
In September 2021, Blue Sky Analytics partnered with Dalberg and the Confederation of Indian Industry to publish a report on the public health crisis linking the impact of air pollution on businesses and the economy.[6] In January 2021, they partnered with Near to publish a report on the impact of pollution levels on consumer footfall, health and trade in Delhi.[7][8]
